Tarot cards, which are either linked to divination or fortune-telling, have always been a figment of mystery for most people. The characters of mystical nature hold the secret to the baffling symbols and hidden meanings of each card laid on the table. What may add up to the awe is the power each card has in saying something about your life or things that are bound to happen.

Every deck is consist of two major division: the Major Arcana, also known as Trump, has 22 cards, and the Lesser or Minor Arcana, with 56 cards of four suits.

The moon tarot card, the 18th card on the Major Arcana, is a symbol of how the spirit evolves. The card includes four symbols, each having a separate meaning. The symbols include the shell fish, the path, the tongues of fire, and the dogs. Just by seeing the card itself, it may stir an interest as to the real meaning and relevance of these symbols. So, here's a quick rundown:

The shell fish stands for life and how it spawns out of the water of creation for a journey that will eventually lead back to the Creator. It's also a reminder that you're a mortal who owes your life to the Creator and that you'll have to face death--the inescapable end of living.

The Path symbolizes the trials that each mortal has to go through. The path is constricted and rather lengthy, symbolizing how difficult and long evolution is. The path has its high and low points and is visibly incomplete, which are all indicative of the gradual pace at which individuals learn their lessons in life. This is most similar to the way you experience difficulty in finding a job, earning money, staying alive, or how you realize that true friends are hard to find.

The 32 tongues of fire stand for the 32 trails that one has to tread on the way to the tree of life. This speaks a lot about the way you encounter different problems, which tend to drain the wit out of you.

The dogs represent human nature, both tamed and untamed. And like every other human being, you possess both the good and evil nature, so you must seek to learn more about it in order for you to live your life well.
